For Optimum Health You Need The Triple Threat
If you are serious about getting into shape then you need to focus on all the areas of health. Dieting alone will not get you into shape. Lifting weights alone will not ensure you are healthy and neither will cardio. To achieve true health it is important to incorporate all three aspects to attain optimum health.
It is tempting to pick up a bodybuilding magazine if you want bigger muscles but don’t have them. The bodybuilding workout routines seem sound and the advice seems logical. The problem with these magazines is they don’t always tell the whole story. It’s easy to buy into extreme bodybuilding supplements when Mr. Olympia is standing there with a bottle of pills in his hand and the muscles popping off of the page. Magazines however only take snippets and convince you that it is easier than it is to build a healthy body.
To have long term health you need to perform cardio vascular exercise. You also need to eat a healthy, natural, well rounded diet, along with challenging your muscles in order for them to stay strong. This is good advice for men and women. Women are pretty good at cardio but typically fall short when it comes to weight training. Too often woman are afraid they will bulk up like a man if they lift weights which is not true.
Building muscle takes a great deal of time, often years to bulk up. In addition, women don’t have testosterone so unless they take steroids they will never get bigger muscles than a fitness model has. If you do all three pillars you will begin to experience a lean, healthy, strong and energetic body like you have never known before. If you have excess body fat you will notice it coming off very quickly if you do all three.
If you are willing to be a bit patient in the beginning and figure out how to perform all three your life will change. Taking a shortcut may seem like a good idea initially but in the end you are more likely to fail or at least stagnate in your results, do it right the first time and you won’t regret it.
