In addition once each week they could eat dried fruit, cured meat and a very small piece of fatty meat.
The results of the experiment were far more astounding than what could be gained from any of the normal muscle building diets for men. Across the board, participants saw a decrease in body fat, a lowered blood pressure reading, and lowered levels of the dangerous blood-thickening plasminogen activator inhibitor-1.
And the average weight loss was nearly five pounds over the three week period. This makes living like a caveman one of the most impressive diets that work, and it is all based on how we lived thousands of years ago.
